Today I had a doctor's appointment and while I was sitting in the
waiting room, this other patient asked me "Do you have trouble with your
eyes?"
I couldn't figure out why on earth she would ask that and I
said "No, do you?"
She said "I thought maybe you had trouble with your
eyes and that was why you had the dog." Duh.
Not sure why I didn't
catch that in the first place. But I was just baffled by her question.
What a GREAT opportunity to educate people about Service/Assistance Dogs and the differences among the various kinds! I get this sometimes, and I have made some really good friends this way.
